Born in San Antonio, Texas, Marlene is currently pursuing her MFA at East Carolina University under the direction of Linda Darty and Robert Ebendorf. She earned her BFA at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville while studying with Paulette Myers. True has worked with students from middle school through adult, teaching basic and advanced metalsmithing in community and university settings. she continues her work as a studio artist, showing nationally.
